Schedule a time

Home or workplace, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mobile slots fill up, so book about a week out. Then go work, run errands, or do nothing at all.

Your technician calls before arriving, walks you through the work, then shows you the finished job in your own driveway. Pay by card, cash, or FordPass Rewards points.

We run the van out of 200 NJ-35 South in Keyport and cover a 20-mile radius across northern Monmouth County and into southern Middlesex. If you can see the Raritan Bay from your street, you are almost certainly in range.

These are just the towns we visit most. We service many other areas inside the radius that aren't listed here — if your street is within 20 miles of Keyport, ask us.

One limitation, stated plainly: the van is too tall for the Garden State Parkway and the Turnpike, so we route around them. Not sure if you're inside the line? Call (732) 709-1144 and we'll tell you straight.

She's the one who confirms your appointment, checks that the van can reach your street, makes sure the right parts are on board before the technician leaves Keyport, and calls you if anything changes. Does the mobile van only service Ford vehicles?

No. We now service all makes and models with the mobile van, not just Fords. If your vehicle isn't a Ford, book at least three days out so we can order the correct parts and load them before the van leaves Keyport.

Will you really come to me, and how far will you travel?

Yes, we really come to you. We travel a 20-mile radius from Tom's Ford in Keyport, which covers Hazlet, Matawan, Union Beach, Holmdel, Middletown, South Amboy, Sayreville, Freehold and the towns in between. Because of the height of the van, we cannot travel on the Garden State Parkway or the New Jersey Turnpike, so a few addresses just past those roads are out of range.

Can you help with a breakdown or a flat tire on the road?

Not on a road or highway — liability keeps us off the shoulder. If your vehicle is broken down in your driveway or in your workplace parking lot, that we can come out for.

How far in advance should I book?

Mobile service keeps getting more popular, so we recommend booking about a week ahead to get the time slot you want.

How long does a mobile appointment take?

About one hour on average. An oil change with a rotation and inspection lands right around there. Your technician calls before arriving so you're not guessing at the window.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards and cash. You can also apply your FordPass Rewards points to any mobile service.

Can the van handle a recall or a state inspection?

Most recalls, yes — call (732) 709-1144 with your VIN and we'll confirm whether yours can be done in the driveway or needs a lift. The van also handles inspections, throttle body service and induction service.
